Frequently asked questions
Will the audio play backwards too?⌄
Yes — if the source has an audio track, we reverse it in sync with the picture using the same technique real video editors use (ffmpeg's areverse/reverse filters). A silent video reverses picture-only.
Why does this cost more processing than, say, Rotate?⌄
Reversing can't stream-copy or seek — ffmpeg has to decode and hold the entire clip before it can play it backwards, then re-encode the whole thing. That's real CPU/RAM work proportional to the video's length, unlike a quick rotate or crop.
What happens to my file?⌄
Both the upload and the reversed result are deleted automatically within 30 minutes. Only your session's signed token can access the job.
