Turn any pay rate into hourly, monthly and yearly — gross and net
Gross vs net: what paycheck math actually is
A job offer says $25 an hour — but what is that per year, and what lands in your account? Gross pay is the headline number; net (take-home) pay is gross minus taxes, insurance and retirement contributions. Converting between hourly, monthly and annual figures is simple arithmetic, but doing it by hand invites mistakes exactly when the numbers matter most: comparing offers.

How the math works
Annualization multiplies by 52 weeks (26 pay periods biweekly, 12 months); hourly rates divide back out over a 40-hour week baseline. Overtime splits hours at 40 and prices the remainder at 1.5x before annualizing. Net pay multiplies gross by one minus your deduction rate. Pure arithmetic, no tables, no network calls.
Why calculate salary here?
Every pay frequency, one view
Enter any single number — hourly wage or annual salary — and instantly see what it means per hour, week, two weeks, month and year, so offers quoted differently become directly comparable.
Honest overtime math
Overtime is applied exactly the way US payroll does it — 1.5x past 40 hours, hourly input only — instead of silently annualizing straight time and understating your pay.
Net pay without tax-table fiction
Rather than pretending to know your jurisdiction's tax code, the calculator applies YOUR deduction rate from YOUR payslip — the only number that makes take-home pay real.
Frequently asked questions
Does it know my country's tax rates?⌄
No — tax tables differ by country, state and year, so guessing would mislead you. Instead you enter your own total deduction rate and the calculator shows exact take-home pay for it. Check a recent payslip for your real rate.
How is overtime calculated?⌄
Hours past 40 per week are paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate (US FLSA standard). Overtime only applies to hourly input — salaries are taken at face value.
